Escalante Petrified Forest State Park
Take a close look between the lower branches and you will see our rig in the background.
This wonderful little state park sits just 44 miles from Bryce and we will return! Not a huge park (23 sites) but it has so much to offers including the Wide Hollow Reservoir, dinosaur fossils, petrified wood and nice vistas for the top of the Mesa behind the park. The petrified wood was fantastic with many large trees and the colors representing all the hues of the spectrum. Plus, they had 50 amp in 4 sites which is handy when it dips to freezing at night.
