Arches National Park
At last, Arches National Park, and it is free over the holiday weekend, Wow Wow! We have opted for a cheap (is a patern emerging, yes) Passport America RV park in Moab because it is a 25+ mile drive to anything and once you are there, you can easily drive another 25 miles. Moab sits between, Arches, Canyon Land and Dead Horse State Park and the beautiful drive along the Colorado River we experienced driving in. Plus, it has 50 amp electric, sewer and a very quite location. What we give up, the dark night sky, but hey, it drops into the 30's at night so I am not so interested in star gazing. Our favorite place in the park was a short walk into a slot like path filled with soft red sand with a reward at the end of a beautiful arch. The place had several family's that were enjoying the soft sand and great location. The days are warm and sunny with no wind, it just don't get better than this!
