Camping in a Florida State Forest

Traveling north is always a little bitter sweet, it means we are making the slow trek home. The good news is that many locations in northern Florida remind me of northern Minnesota. Especially when I open the door of the RV and smell the long pines for the first time. Just heavenly! Walking along the paths of dried pine needles crushing under foot is the best potpourri ever. When the wind blows gently in the canopy it sounds like the waves on the beaches just a few miles down in Destin. But the best was yet to come, as we laid in bed the frogs and crickets began to sing, and they sang until the sunrise! Blue was also enjoying the remote location with long walks in the woods.
