Cederlund trail and the ultimate Saguaro
After a few hours of hiking the Cederlund Trails, we found what is probably a record saguaro with over 60 arms. The hike was 2.8 miles out and up and 2.8 back. Need I say we were a little stiff the next day, but it was worth the hike. Along the trail are old mines and a great view of the Tuscon Park. This morning we woke to clouds and a light drizzle.
Did you venture in the cave? How long are you staying in AZ? Love the pics, keep'em coming. Snowed here 5 inches between last night and this morning, now the cold (negatives) are moving in..... Peggy
Hi Peg, these mines are very shallow, this one was around 10 feet deep and it looked like it was home to a family of pack rats (this is an animal)so I sat on the edge. This week it looks like it will be in the 70's here. Stay warm!
