Bryce Canyon National Park

If you look close at the shadows on the side of the cliff, you will see Gary standing on the rim, waving his arms in the air!

Named for the Mormon Ebenezer Bryce who lived on the rim of the canyon this park is witness to over 10 million years of change brought about by the forces of nature. The Hoodoo's and spires can tower over 2,000 feet above the corresponding paunsaugunt plateau below.

Our good weather gave us the chance to see the Hoodoos in full afternoon color with a promise of a good hike the next morning. It dropped down into the teens last night but our new heater kept us toasty. Blue spent most of the night under the covers and during the day with the warmth of the sun we are enjoying the upper 50's. I would never have thought we would be camping without power in November at 8,000 ft but it has not been an issue and we are loving the park, what a dream come true.
