Mount Dora

Located along the banks of Lake Dora, the town named for Dora Anne Drowdy, a hardy pioneer woman who homesteaded here in the 1800s, looks like any northern resort town with the exception of the Live Oaks that line the streets. It is a charming country town in central Florida with an altitude of 184 feet above sea level. Along with the neighboring towns of Travares and Eustis, this is known as the Golden Triangle of Florida's lake region.
