Calvin Borel at Churchill Downs in Louisville

Another one off the bucket list! Well close enough. As a horse lover, I’ve always dreamed of attending the Kentucky Derby someday. Well this week is a bit late in the year for the Derby but at least we had an opportunity to spend a full day at the races at Churchill Downs, including a Calvin Borel bet (which we lost by a length). In our first race we bet an Exacta boxing tow horses and won. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and in the end, between the two of us, we were down $3.20. So it was a cheap day of great entertainment.
